ESU beats Bethany

Tim Niles sparked a 26-9 run to end the first half and Emporia State cruised to a 97-57 win against Bethany on Wednesday at White Auditorium.
Niles scored 18 of his game-high 22 points in the first half, continuing his hot streak after scoring 45 on Monday at Central Oklahoma.
The Hornets lost Lamar Wilbern in the first half to an ankle injury. Wilbern scored eight points before leaving the game.
Matt Boswell scored 15 points off the bench. Jeremiah Box had 13 points, and Adam Holthaus added 12.

Niles hit four 3-pointers in the first half, including a buzzer-beater, to lead Emporia State with 18 points, and ESU leads Bethany 50-31 at halftime.
Lamar Wilbern scored eight points before hurting his left ankle with 7:26 left in the half.
Matt Boswell has eight points, and both Adam Holthaus and Jordan Stout have six points.
The Hornets have made 9-of-17 3-pointers. Niles has made 4-of-7 3-pointers. On Monday night at Central Oklahoma, the senior guard was a perfect 8-for-8 from beyond the arc and scored a career-high 45 points.
