Longtime leader and volunteer Evora Wheeler has been chosen to be parade marshal for the 32nd Annual Community Christmas Parade organized by the Emporia Area Chamber of Commerce and the Convention and Visitors Bureau.
The parade will begin lining up at 5:30 p.m. at Fourth Avenue and Commercial Street, and will begin at 7 p.m. on Dec. 1.
The tree-lighting and dedication ceremony will be at 6:30 p.m. in front of Cable ONE, 714 Commercial St.
