EMPORIA IS WHERE I’ve enjoyed living since my early college years. I’ve found this community (that I’m proud to be a part of) to be a wonderfully caring place to call home.
To me, the best of Emporia surfaces during the Veterans Day Tribute Week which draws our attention to the men and women who have served in the various branches of our military. These service people are my heroes! As we continue to celebrate their service, I would challenge Emporians to remember our present soldiers with donations that are being collected to send to our troops. I would also challenge you to remember to send cards to wounded military who are convalescing at Landstuhl, Germany before being returned to the United States.
