Taylor Euler, role player. Sounds a little weird, doesn’t it?
Locals who closely followed Euler’s Emporia High career — particularly his senior year, when the Spartans usually lived and died by his performance — might find the idea of Euler being just one of the guys on a basketball team’s roster a tough notion to get used to.
But like most freshmen on a college roster, that’s what Euler is at this nascent point in his Emporia State career. He’s a freshman guard on a team that has enough good and experienced guards to surround the palace of your average fascist dictator. So the latest EHS star to stay home and hit the hardwood for the Hornets will wait for his chance to become one of ESU’s stars.
