LAWRENCE — With reporters surrounding Cassondra Boston after Emporia State’s 85-48 loss to Kansas on Sunday, there was a brief moment of silence.
Boston filled the void with an observation that explained the Lady Hornets’ struggles to keep pace with the Jayhawks.

The Lady Hornets are also not very experienced and not very deep, which also contributed to KU’s blowout win.
In years past, the Lady Hornets been able to play with the two bigger state schools. They even won at K-State in 2006 and took Kansas to overtime in 2007.
