Donations for soldiers

Sponsors of a drive to send care packages to area soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan will be at Walmart from 3 to 6 p.m. on Thursday to accept donations, according to organizer Ralph Tebbetts.
The group collected last week at Price Chopper, as well as with collection boxes at area businesses, and donations so far have been generous, Tebbetts said.
“It’s off to a great start,” he said.
Donations may be taken to: Mel’s Tires, Cooper Tire, Dave’s Place in Strong City; Midas Touch Golden Tans, Nature’s Paradise health Food Store, Bad Ol’ Bern’s, The Nooses, and the VFW Post 1980 home, 932 Graphic Arts Road. More information is available from Tebbetts by calling 757-5633.
