Emporia High School students will take part in a national “Mix It Up at Lunch Day” on Tuesday.
Thousands of schools across the country are expected to take part in the program, which is intended to “break down intergroup barriers, reduce prejudice and improve group relations in schools,” according to information from the Southern Poverty Law Center.
EHS Counselor Teresa Maley said that the school again will take part in the program, and has encouraged its students to sit with someone new at the cafeteria.
