To help Emporians with fall yard cleanup, the City of Emporia will provide additional hours to dispose of yard waste at no cost.
Beginning tomorrow and running through Nov. 19, the landfill will be open on Sundays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. to accept yard waste, including leaves, limbs and clippings. The recycling center, however, will not be open.

That's great that they're opening up the other landfill. It'll help cut down on the sprained ankles we all get from tripping over the bulk pick up garbage! Lol!
