Fall storytimes at the Emporia Public Library begins with Mother Goose Time at 9:45 a.m. every Monday and Thursday for toddlers to 36 months; Pat-A-Cake Club, infants to 18 months, at 9:15 a.m. every Thursday; and Preschool Storytime, children two to five years, 10:30 a.m. every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
The EPL Family night will be held from 6:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday with the theme, “Storytime Soup.” Family Night is free, with no registration required. Families with children of all ages are welcome. Stories, crafts and fun will be shared. A family movie will be shown at 4:15 p.m. Nov. 13. Movie flyers are available at the Children’s Services desk.

Woodwinds
The ESU Department of Music presents at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, the Mid-America Woodwind Quintet, who will perform at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church. Opera scenes will be featured at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 13 in Heath Recital Hall. General admission is $5; students and senior citizens, $4; children 12 and younger, no charge. Maria Stukey, a 2007 graduate of Emporia State University will be featured in the Minneapolis (Minn.) Musical Theatre production of “The Great American Trailer Park Musical” opening today at the Illusion Theater in downtown Minneapolis. The show continues through Nov. 22. For more information, call (612) 339-4944. Stukey, a native of Wichita, lives in Minneapolis and has appeared in many musical theater productions in Minnesota. She also has been dance captain and choreographer for various shows and works at the National Theatre for Children in Minneapolis.
