Veterans activities continue

The calendar remains full of programs and events intended to honor veterans as part of Veterans Tribute Week in Emporia, beginning with Classic Movie Night at the Granada Theatre. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the movie starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $4.
The World War II Roundtable, “After the War,” will start at 7:30 p.m. tonight in the Kanza Room at the Memorial Union at Emporia State University.
The All Veterans Recognition and USO Show will be at 7 p.m. Friday in Plumb Hall at ESU.
Veterans may pick up free passes to the ESU-Washburn football game, at 1 p.m. Saturday, until 5 p.m. Friday at the Emporia Area Chamber of Commerce, 719 Commercial St.
Sunday’s events include the Emporia Main Street Freedom Fest Run/Walk/Ride and Rally at 7:30 a.m. and the Student Essay and Poster Awards Ceremony and Reception at 2 p.m. Sunday in Emporia Middle School
