Four companies were invited by Custom Energy Solutions to submit bids for the track and football-soccer field portion of the Facility Conservation and Improvement Program approved for the Emporia school district. Custom Energy conducted an investment-grade audit of the district’s energy-conservation options and was hired to manage the project for the district.
Three of the four companies — Mid-America Golf and Landscape of Lee’s Summit, Mo.; Sports Constructors Inc., of Fort Worth, Texas; and McConnell and Associates Corp. of North Kansas City, Mo. — submitted bids, and McConnell was chosen for the athletics section of the project.
