Summer Meals Program
BREAKFAST
Monday: continental choice.
Tuesday: continental choice.
Wednesday: continental choice.
Thursday: continental choice.
Friday: continental choice.
LUNCH
Monday: corn dog, Spartan fries, broccoli florets and dip, mandarin oranges.
Tuesday: cheese pizza, tri tater, baby carrots and dip, tropical fruit.
Wednesday: turkey fritter, hot roll, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, diced peaches.
Thursday: crispitos, nacho chips, cheese sauce, tossed salad, strawberries.
Friday: grilled cheese sandwich, tater tots, green beans, pineapple.
Juice and milk are served with breakfast; milk is served with lunch.
Free summer meals are served at Logan Avenue, Riverside, Timmerman, Walnut and William Allen White elementary schools and Emporia Middle School and Emporia High School.
Friendship Meals
EMPORIA
Friendship meals are served at noon at the Emporia Senior Center, 603 E. 12th Ave.
Reservations should be made one day in advance by calling the Senior Center, 343-3160, between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. For home delivery, call 340-8001.
These meals will be served next week.
Monday: barbecue ribette on a bun, parslied potatoes, cabbage and carrots, creamy fruit.
Tuesday: taco casserole, bread stick, fruit salad.
Wednesday: roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, baked squash, wheat bread, fluffy fruit salad.
Thursday: chicken-fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, mixed vegetables, wheat bread, tropical fruit.
Friday: chicken alfredo, noodles, Italian-blend vegetables, garlic bread, gelatin cake.
NORTH LYON COUNTY
Friendship meals are served at noon at: the Americus Senior Center, 516 Locust St., (620) 443-5352 and the North Lyon County Senior Center at Allen, (620) 528-3414; Reading residents who want meals can call the North Lyon County Senior Center.
Reservations should be made by phone one day in advance.
These meals will be served next week.

Friday: chicken alfredo, noodles, Italian-blend vegetables, garlic bread, sherbet.
