Renowned artist Paul Hotvedt will be the juror of an art show to be held at Pioneer Bluffs near Matfield Green from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 13. “Best in Show” will be awarded at 1:30 p.m. during a special presentation by Hotvedt. The community is invited to tour Pioneer Bluffs Historic District and view works of art from area artists exhibited in the 1915 barn. There is no cost to attend this open house and art show.
Hotvedt, of Lawrence, is co-founder of Imagination and Place, an organization dedicated to exploring the ideas of human imagination and concepts of place, stated the news release. He is an instructor in painting at the Lawrence Arts Center and a participant in the U.S. Department of State “Art in Embassies” program.
