It would be easy to mistake Jacob White for Emporia State’s bat boy.
Ask the beanpole middle infielder how much he weighs, and his response is, “Can I lie?”
The answer would be 145 pounds, skinny enough that he’s tough to spot when the Hornets huddle up before a game. Maybe that’s why White got lost in the mix during the regular season, when he started just 10 games despite hitting .405.
