CARY, N.C. — At this point, there’s not much left for Emporia State coach Bob Fornelli to say.
On Monday at the World Series, Emporia State won again, 5-2 over Mesa State. Another pitcher stepped up and ate up scoreless inning after scoreless inning, the Hornets got some more timely hits when they needed them, another role player became an offensive star and now they’re just two wins from a national championship.
“It’s cool,” Fornelli said, “isn’t it?”
No questioning the man in charge, who seems to be making all the right moves.

This is so exciting! Way to go Hornets! Even if we can't be there to cheer you on, know that we are rooting for you here at home.
