Memorial Day has a very personal meaning for me. On Memorial Day 2006 our platoon medic, Coporal Jeremy "Doc" Loveless, was killed by sniper fire in Mosul, Iraq. Sadly he wasn't the only one we lost in Iraq. On 30 October 2006, Sgt. Kraig Foyteck, my fire team leader, was killed when we were clearing a house in Baghdad. On 4 November 2006, Spc. Doug Bridges, a friend in 2nd platoon, was killed by sniper fire in Baghdad.
You guys are not forgotten. And to all the 172nd Stryker soldiers who paid the ultimate price, thanks for what you did.
Arctic Wolves,
Mike

I'm missing Lt. Jeffrey Graham from Fort Riley who died in 2004. Here's a link to learn more about this American hero who died for his buddies: http://www.militarytimes.com/honor/25...

To my young children, mate, parents, two stepfathers, siblings, step-siblings and grandparents who have all passed beyond...I miss you all terribly. You are not forgotten. I'm so sorry that all of our lives were so busy doing our daily routines, that we never really spent that much time being family. We should have done more.

I want to honor my uncle, (George Jr.) who received the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart after he was killed in the battle of the Ardennes during WW II. He was only nineteen years old when he died and his death left a sorrow in his mother and older brother (my father) that remained until their deaths years later.
Also my wonderful mother who died one year ago this past January......Your boys miss you Mom....
