Emporia State sprinter Sam Williams did something that only two other Hornets have ever accomplished, and now he’s in the finals of the 200 meters at the Outdoor Track and Field Championship.
Williams ran a 20.99 in the 200-meter preliminaries on Friday in San Angelo, Texas, and enters today’s finals with the sixth-best time. Williams also guaranteed himself a spot on the All-American team and became just the third ESU runner ever to break 21 seconds in the 200 meters.
