Riverside 4-H

Riverside 4-H and Sunflower 4-H held an exchange meeting May 11 at the Admire Elementary School with Riverside president Rebekah Kvas presiding. Fourteen members, three leaders, one future 4-H member, one guest along with 14 Sunflower 4-H members and families answered roll call, “What is your favorite hobby?” Riverside voted to do the landscaping at the Miller Church when the new addition is completed. “Family Read Night” dinner was voted a success. Games were led by Luke Jenkins, Slaytor Parks, Kvas, Jade Jenkins, Melissa Coats and Hannah Robinson. Sarah Robinson led the singing. The next meeting will be held June 3 at the Miller Church.
Cloverleaf 4-H

Members of Cloverleaf 4-H Club met Jan. 26 and Feb. 23 at the Bethel Schoolhouse; March 9, an exchange meeting with the Happy Harvesters at the Knights of Columbus Building in Olpe; and April 27 at the Anderson Building on the Lyon County fairgrounds. Flag salutes and the 4-H pledge were led by Noah Douglas and Morgan Redeker, Sarah Moyer and Mattie Decker, Cai Ast and Dakota Orender and Katherine MacGregor. Logan Fuller and Lane Fuller gave the treasurer’s reports. Game and recreation leaders were Noah Douglas, Maryann Bennett, Mark Windle and the Douglases. Singing leaders were Madeleyne Douglas and Hanna Megredy. Members stuffed bags for the Working Women event held in April. Project reports were given by Eric MacGregor, Hannah Megredy, Dalton Meyer, Blair Meyer, Cai Ast, Logan Fuller, Mattie Decker, Codie Orender, Regan Root, Anne Orender and Ashlyn Alingh. Arissa Moyer gave an Ambassador’s report and also showed a scrapbook. Alli Alingh demonstrated making toffee. It was reported by leaders Janet Harrouff and June Rochat that the club received alternate top purple on the Model Meeting.
