Council Grove — Silver Lake certainly didn’t need help to beat Council Grove in Wednesday’s Class 3A Regional game, but the Eagles got some anyway. So with the Eagles hitting the laces off the ball and the Braves making a few costly mistakes, the recipe was perfect for a run-rule ending to Council Grove’s season.
Defending State champion Silver Lake pounded out 14 hits in four times up and won 12-1 in five innings.
