Federal regulators were to be in Emporia this morning to evaluate the final day of a three-day training to prepare for an incident at Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Plant near New Strawn. The sessions began Monday in the north gymnasium at Emporia State University.
Rick Frevert, director of Lyon County Emergency Management, took time out to talk about the exercises Tuesday afternoon, before a team of leaders sat down to assess performance.
