Sarah Kolmer, Raelynn Pearson and Courtney Waldner won individual titles on Monday, leading the Emporia High girls to a third-place finish at the Centennial League meet in Topeka.
The Spartan boys finished in fourth with Mark Kolmer and Cory Obermeyer as the top finisher. Kolmer finished second in the javelin and Obermeyer second in the 300-meter hurdles.
Sarah Kolmer won the triple jump, Pearson won the discus and Waldner won the high jump. All three were multiple placers at league. Kolmer also finished fourth in the 200 meters and the long jump. Waldner finished second in the 100-meter hurdles and sixth in the 300-meter hurdles, and Pearson finished second in the shot put.
Jenna Stanbrough also had a strong performance for the Lady Spartans. Stanbrough finished third in the 800 meters and fourth in the 1,600 meters.
