The Lyon County Commission will meet for a study session beginning at 8 a.m. Wednesday in the Lyon County Commission chambers of the Lyon County Courthouse, 430 Commercial St. Items on the agenda include:
• Bill Persinger of the Mental Health Center will discuss the budget request for 2010 and will give an update on the center’s services.
• Chip Woods, Lyon County engineer, will discuss cleaning up the old Pallets Plus site at Kansas Highway 99 and Road 130.
• Jackie Leffler will discuss Road 225 and Road 260.
• Ty Wheeler, Kansas Legal Services, will discuss 2010 budget appropriations.
• Brian Anstey, jail supervisor, will discuss the inmate phone service contract and will discuss the purchase of three cameras plus a fourth and installation.
• Gary Post, Lyon County appraiser, will give a departmental update.
• Merlin Wheeler, chief judge, will discuss potential furloughs for District Court employees.
