Plots are sold-out at the first Emporia Community Garden at the Flint Hills Technical College, but some gardeners would be happy to get advice from others who have the green thumb, experience, and a few tricks up their sleeves to make vegetable-growing more successful.
According to information from FHTC, help from instructors — as well as garden books and tools and hoses — would be appreciated.
"Garden members have a wide vareity of experience and ability levels, so we welcome lessons on the most basic to advanced topics," a news release stated.
People who want to volunteer to teach or to donate new or used equipment may call Rachel LeClear, 341-1372.
