Americus alumni
The annual banquet and business meeting of the Americus rural high school alumni association will be held May 23 at the Americus school attendance center. Reservations are due by Thursday at the Kansas Land Bank, (620) 443-5163, in Americus or to secretary Betty Brown, 405 Road 420, Americus, KS 66835, (620) 443-5266.
Graduates, spouses, teachers and those who attended part-time are invited to attend. The cost is $9 a plate and alumni dues cost $5. Every five-year class will be honored and there will be a program. When making reservations, note the year of graduation.
Card shower
A card shower is requested for Agnes Hensler, who will be turning 95 on May 25. Cards may be sent to Hensler at 2. S. Exchange St., Emporia, KS 66801.
