Flooding on county roads prompted Lyon County commissioners to consider a emergency declaration to help with money for repairs on roads during this morning’s Lyon County Commission.
Scott Briggs, Lyon County Commission chairman, said this morning that the commission will consider the emergency declaration to gain funds to repair the roads. The funds would help pay for the latest storms and compensate for the April 25 ice storm as well, Briggs said.
Flooding also is forcing the closure of a road at Road 30 between Roads K and L because water washed the planks out from the bridge.
