The Hartford football field will be getting new facilities following a vote by the Southern Lyon County School Board Monday evening.
Mike Argabright, superintendent of the Southern Lyon County School District, said this morning that the board voted to approve a plan for concessions, locker rooms, public rest rooms and storage areas at the Hartford football field. The vote comes after $75,000 was donated to the project.
“That was kinda how it got started,” Argabright said.
The board also entered into an agreement with Flint Hills Technical College to allow students 10th grade and up at Olpe High School and Hartford High Schools to take courses at the tech college for college credit.
“That’s exciting for students,” Argabright said.
In other business the board approved two roofing replacement projects, one at Olpe Junior High and one at Hartford High School.
