Neosho Rapids City Council

The regular monthly city council meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the community building. The agenda includes mayor and committee reports and monthly business of the city, street, sewer and financial report given by Ed Leford; updates on the sewer project by Bruce Boettcher of BG Consultants; appointments for the year, city clerk, city treasurer, attorney, official newspaper; April 7, 2009, official election results and oath of office for council persons, all five positions and mayor positions; official results of the special election for the 1 percent sales tax for street revenue; official results of the special election for the sale of the city gas system; Black Hills representatives re: paperwork for the Mayor; citizen presentations, miscellaneous. The public is encouraged to attend.

Hartford Harvest Day meeting

The Hartford Harvest Day meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday at the small community center. New volunteers and new ideas will be welcome. The meeting is open to the public. For for more information, call Keri at (620) 392-5680 or Bettina at (620) 366-1015 after 5 p.m.

Mountain Oyster Supper

The Lebo American Legion will hold its annual Mountain Oyster Supper from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday at the American Legion Hall in Lebo. The supper will include mountain oysters, ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, baked beans and lettuce salad, with tea and coffee. There is a suggested donation of $8 for the supper.
