Road work planned
Chase, Marion and Morris Counties will have roadwork in the county following letting of bids by the Kansas Department of Transportation.
The areas are as follows:
Kansas 256 from the junction of U.S. 77 west and north to the junction of U.S. 56; Kansas 177 from the Chase-Butler County line north to the curb and gutter on the south edge of Cottonwood Falls; Kansas 177 from the junction of Fourth Street at the north edge of Strong City north to the Chase-Morris county line; K-177 from the Morris-Chase county line to the south city limits of Council Grove, 43.2 miles total, Heckert Construction Inc. out of PIttsburg, for a total of $993,840.27.
