ON BEHALF of SOS and the task force of volunteers who planned the event, we want to thank the community for their support of the first presentation in the SOS Speakers Series by Denise Brown.
We want to thank our sponsors: Emporia Chamber of Commerce, Emporia Convention & Visitor’s Bureau, Capitol Federal Savings, Emporia Fitness, ESU Center for Student Involvement, The Medicine Shoppe, Modern Air, Osage County Attorney’s Office, Arthur Williamson, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas, VOICES, Steve & Bobbi Sauder, ESB Financial, Jones VanArsdale Funeral Home–Lebo, Allstate, Midwest Limousine, the Evans family, The Hopkins Foundation, Ken and Margaret Wright, CoreFirst Bank & Trust, Bob and Aneta Bodkin, Scott and Kathy Strahm, the Lohmeyer family, Wolf Creek, Jim and Helen Williams, Emporia High School, Emporia State Federal Credit Union and E&J Photography. These sponsors, the media who covered our event and all of those who attended made our event an amazing success. Our speaker left an impression of how far-reaching the impact of domestic abuse can be.
The funds raised from this event will be used to create the New Beginning Fund at SOS to ensure the continuation of victim services to adults and children in our six-county service area.
