NORTH LYON COUNTY — Two Northern Heights High School students are making a difference in their school and community.
Shannon Springler and Sierra Chestnut decided to do a project for the school’s chapter of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America. The two collected money and canned goods for the Salvation Army.
The result of their project was a donation of $109 in cash and mounds of non-perishable food.
The girls presented the food and money to Patricia Rayes of the Salvation Army last week.
