Wilson, Gardner take second place

Emporia natives Shane Wilson and Chuck Gardner earned more than $10,000 and a second-place finish with 46.86 pounds on Saturday in their first year of competing in the Fishers Of Men competition on the Red River in Louisiana.

The Kansas Division teammates’ final day’s limit weighed 17.51 pounds and included a 5.56-pound kicker fish.
