Emporia Schools
BREAKFAST
Monday: pancake on a stick or cereal and graham cookies.
Tuesday: Little Smokies and Texas toast with jelly or cereal and graham cookies.
Wednesday: frosted long john and mozzarella cheese stick or cereal and graham cookies.
Thursday: pizza or cereal and graham cookies.
Friday: cereal bar and muffin or cereal and graham cookies.
LUNCH
Monday: cheeseburger on a bun, fries, baby carrots and dip, mandarin oranges.
Tuesday: pizza, tossed salad, strawberries, vanilla wafers.
Wednesday: crispitos, nacho chips, cheese sauce, tossed salad, banana.
Thursday: chicken strips, fries, dinner roll, corn, peach half.
Friday: fish sandwich, cheesy broccoli, orange smiles, ice cream.
Juice and milk are served with breakfast, milk is served with lunch.
Friendship Meals
Emporia
Friendship meals are served at noon at the Emporia Senior Center, 603 E. 12th Ave.
Reservations should be made one day in advance by calling the Senior Center, 343-3160, between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. For home delivery, call 340-8001.
These meals will be served next week.
Monday: pasta bake, spinach salad, Italian-blend vegetables, Texas toast, applesauce.
Tuesday: baked chicken, rice pilaf with peppers, baby carrots, roll, fruited gelatin.
Wednesday: pork roast, candied sweet potatoes, green beans, wheat roll, melon balls and peaches.
Thursday: Polish sausage, cabbage, stewed tomatoes, bun, cherry crisp.
Friday: macaroni and tuna salad, cucumber salad, bread, pineapple pudding.
North Lyon County
Friendship meals are served at noon at: the Americus Senior Center, 516 Locust St., (620) 443-5352 and the North Lyon County Senior Center at Allen, (620) 528-3414; Reading residents who want meals can call the North Lyon County Senior Center.
Reservations should be made by phone one day in advance.
These meals will be served next week.
Monday: goulash, coleslaw, garlic bread, mandarin oranges.
Tuesday: chicken and noodles, mashed potatoes, Italian-blend vegetables, strawberries and bananas.
Wednesday: glazed ham loaf, baked potato, mixed vegetables, bread, pear and cheese salad.
Thursday: spaghetti with meat sauce, tossed salad, garlic bread, fresh fruit cup.
Friday: baked lemon chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, peas, hot roll, apricots.
• Menus are provided by the senior meal programs and the Emporia school district.
