Greenwood County
The Eureka Herald reported that Greenwood County Hospital was recently named “2008 HomeCare Elite” for the third year. The 2008 HomeCare Elite is given to the most successful Medicare-certified home health providers in the United States. Greenwood County Hospital Home Health also is named one of the top 500 agencies in the nation.
Coffey County
The Coffey County Republican reported that 77 projects totaling $34.7 million have been selected to receive federal stimulus funds for roads and bridge improvements in Kansas. Coffey County projects were not on the list of those chosen. The Kansas Department received 422 requests for projects totaling $275 million.
Greenwood County
The Eureka Herald reported that Greenwood County will receive stimulus funds for a two-inch overlay on four miles of the Virgil/Hamliton Road. The total estimated cost is $540,000 and Greenwood County will receive $490,000.
