Friday Thoughts is a light-hearted commentary.
SOME TIME AGO, my financial advisor suggested that AIG would be a good investment. Since that time, AIG has been plastered all over the news for its stock price collapsing to nothing, being propped up by stimulus dollars and then AIG executives taking controversial bonuses.
I thought I would drop in on my financial advisor and thank him for his investment advice. I can only assume that he didn’t have his money in AIG because when I stopped by his office, his secretary told me he was sunning himself on a beach in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and wouldn’t be back for a week. I wonder if he will bring me back a sombrero to help me forget about the losses?
