Some sirens fail morning test

According to a press release from the Emporia Police Department, some severe weather sirens failed this morning’s weekly test.

The sirens located at 1800 Industrial Road did not sound or rotate during the test and the siren at Jones Park sounded but did not rotate. A repair company has been notified and will be working on repairs.
