City of Hartford meeting
The City of Hartford meets at 7 p.m. Wednesday in City Hall.
The agenda includes reports from the mayor and committees about city hall roof estimates, water and sewer report, presentation of claims and warrants, payroll summary 2008, financial statement; Bruce Boettcher BG Consultants, geotechnical recommendation and contract for the new water tower project, discussion of dog ordinance; New Business: Review of job applications received for city position number one, resolution No. 3-2009- to waive GAAP procedures, stimulus money for new storm siren, council approval of USD 252 Senior Scholarship Award for Hartford High School and citizens presentations.
Lyon County Democrats
Lyon County Democrats will meet at 8:30 a.m. March 21 at the Best Western Regency Garden, 3021 W. Highway 50. The breakfast meeting will feature Jason Croucher, chairman of the Osage County Democratic Party, Osage City Council member and “famed blogmaster,” stated the news release. Croucher will discuss the use of social media in the political arena. The public is invited.
Walk MS
