Lougene Marsh resigned today as executive director of the Flint Hills Community Health Center, according to an announcement from Helen Gibson, president of the center’s board of directors.
Marsh will become director of the Johnson County Health Department in Olathe, effective April 6.
Under her direction, the center has become a non-profit corporation, with double the number of patients served in an expanded setting and double the number of medical and dental providers.
"Marsh has led the health center through tremendous growth," Gibson said in a news release this morning. "It is with regret that I accept Lougene's resignation, as she has been a strong leader for the organization. ..."
Marsh's last day will be March 31.
A full story on Marsh will be published Wednesday in The Gazette.
