Pavement-repair projects were to begin today in and around Emporia. Crews will be repairing uneven pavement by placing polyurethane filler under the roadway surface, which will lift and even out the pavement surface.
Work will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday on high traffic volume routes and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on low-volume routes. The work will proceed as weather permits. Traffic control will be provided for work zones. Lane closures will occur on multi-lane highways. Flaggers will be on rural highways. Nortex Concrete Lift & Stabilization is the primary contractor on the $261,750 project.
