Small holes and handwritten names of customers on currency could help authorities track whoever burglarized a Hartford business last week.
Woody's Food & Spirits tavern in Hartford was burglarized overnight Thursday to Friday last week, according to Lyon County Undersheriff Richard Old.
Two cash registeres and about $250 in cash was taken.
"Some of the currency had the names of customers written on it and had a small hole punched in it where it had been stuck to the ceiling with toothpicks," Old said.
Authorities are asking anyone who receives currency with small holes in it and a name written on it to hold onto the currency and call the sheriff's office at 342-5545, their local law enforcement or Lyon County Crimestoppers at 342-2273 as quickly as possible and report the source of the money.
