A 9-1 run by Burrton in the fourth quarter erased a five-point Madison lead and threatened to end the Bulldogs’ season. But a timeout got Madison regrouped, and it got the ball inside against its undersized opponent and won by seven to advance to tonight’s substate final in El Dorado. The Bulldogs will take on undefeated top seed Crest.
Kale Schankie had 20 points for Madison, Michael Luthi had 14 and Henry Ott added 13, including a perfect 8-for-8 from the foul line. As a team, the Bulldogs were 18-of-26 from the stripe.
