University recognizes employee service

A combined total of 900 years of service on the part of 53 employees was noted during Emporia State University’s recent Employee Service Recognition reception. Judy Anderson, director of human resources, and Michael R. Lane, president, handed out pins and other gifts to ESU employees in recognition of their ten, 20, 30 and 40 year service anniversaries.

In addition to the service awards, presentations included the Outstanding Classified Employee award to Teresa Rios, administrative specialist in the department of mathematics, computer science and economics; and the Outstanding Unclassified Professional award to Trudi Benjamin, TRIO Programs director. Those two awards included cash stipends provided by the Emporia State Federal Credit Union and Lyon County State Bank.
