Soup & chili at St. Mark’s
St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, in conjunction with the celebration of the 125th anniversary of the church, will be host for a soup and chili supper fundraiser from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. March 6 in Fellowship Hall. The meal of soup or chili, relishes, dessert and beverage is $5 for ages six through adult and $2.50 for children five and under. Tickets may be purchased at the door. Proceeds will help with church projects.
Biscuits & gravy
The Emporia Lions Club will serve its all-you-can-eat biscuit and sausage gravy from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Emporia Senior Center, 603 E. 12th Ave. Breakfast includes fresh baked biscuits with sausage gravy, link sausage, fruit cups, orange juice, milk or coffee — all for an advance donation to the club of $5 for adults and $2.50 for children under 10. For tickets, contact a local Lions Club member or purchase tickets at the door. The event is a fundraiser for the club’s many activities.
Hartford Penny Supper
The Hartford United Methodist Women will serve the Penny Supper, beginning at 5 p.m. Saturday at the church. Some of the foods to be served are ham loaf, chicken pie, liver and onions, a variety of homecooked vegetables and salads, homemade pies and ice cream.
