Loucks wins regional title, Martin also makes state

After a standout performance at the Regional bowling tournament on Saturday at Flint Hills Lanes, Emporia High’s Jacob Loucks is headed to State as the first male EHS bowler to qualify. Also going to Wichita will be the first female Spartan to head to State, Caitlin Martin.
Loucks won the Regional championship on Saturday with a 775 series, knocking on the door of a 300 game in each of his last two outings. Loucks rolled a 217 and a pair of 279s to finish with a series that put him 76 pins ahead of the second-place finisher, Chris LaPerie of Topeka West.
