The Flint Hills Community Health Center got a major boost in funding this week as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act from the federal government.
Betty Murrell, interim executive director of the community health center, said this afternoon that the center received $550,930 in stimulus funds for capital improvements to the building. The center will use the money to replace the boiler and air conditioning units; fix the parking lot; purchase and install a new phone system; paint the interior of the building; install a new time clock system; install new carpeting for the conference room; install ceiling fans in the exam rooms; build a new patient triage room; install security cameras; install main entrance lighting; and perform exterior brick washing and sealing.

Wow, that sounds like very good use of this money. Nice job of planning, folks at the health center.
