• Addie Sorace, at 93, may be the oldest living member of the extended Rogler family of Chase County; failing that, she almost certainly must be the oldest in the family to have recently published a book. Sorace has been in northeast Kansas this week on a tour to promote the book, “Addie of the Flint Hills, a Prairie Child During the Depression.”
• Plans for the revived Twin Rivers Festival are still under way, and organizers continue to pick up volunteers and add activities to the list of the day’s offerings.
• The Flint Hills Community Health Center has hired a new executive director following the board of directors meeting Tuesday afternoon. The center also received several grants to fund various areas of operations.
