Monday, June 22, 2009

The Osage County Sheriff’s department is asking for public assistance as they investigate an accident that killed an Osage City teenager early Sunday morning.

Cassandra R. Morgan, 17, of Osage City, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, at 333rd Street and Hoch Road in Osage County.

According to information from Sheriff Laurie Dunn, the department received a report of an accident at approximately 12:25 a.m. Sunday.

Dunn said that the teenager was driving a grain truck. No other vehicle was reported as being involved and no passengers were mentioned.

Anyone with information about Morgan’s whereabouts before the accident is asked to call the Osage County Sheriff’s Office at (785) 828-3121 or Crimestoppers, 1-877-OS-CRIME, Dunn said.
