The Emporia Friends of the Zoo will have a reception for the new zoo director, Lisa Keith, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Wednesday in the concessions area of the zoo.
Keith, a longtime employee of the David Traylor Zoo, had been interim director for nearly a year before being appointed as director on June 5.
Those who cannot attend the reception may send a card to Lisa Keith, Zoo Director, P.O. Box 928, Emporia KS 66801-0928.
