Businesses and members of the Emporia community now have an opportunity to contribute to the renovation of Emporia State University’s Memorial Union by naming a space in the new building.
The ESU Foundation is offering naming opportunities for those who wish to donate to the renovation. The foundation is trying to raise $2.5 million in private funds for the renovation to add to the student fee increase that was recently voted in by ESU students to make the project possible.
“The Emporia community uses the Memorial Union and the spaces within it,” said foundation president Judith Heasley. “We’re very excited. It’s going to be a wonderful place to have meetings, to host events and all sorts of things.”
