County meeting

The Lyon County Commission will meet for a study session at 8 a.m. Wednesday in the Lyon County Commission Chambers of the Lyon County Courthouse. Items on the agenda include:
• Chip Woods will discuss an e-mail from the Kansas Department of Transportation regarding the bank stabilization project on Road 145 west of Neosho Rapids. Woods also will give a road and bridge update.
• Marc Goodman, Lyon County attorney and county counselor, will talk to commissioners about using $4,000 to buy tactical armor for hostage negotiators.
• Mark McKenna, facilities management, will ask commissioners to consider the purchase of two burnishers with a trade-in of two burnishers.
• Robert Sullivan, Community Corrections, will ask commissioners to consider line adjustments.
