EHS softball coach retires

The retirement of Emporia High softball coach Ray Owens was announced Monday morning at EHS.

Owens has been EHS’ head coach since 2002 and has also coached extensively in summer league play. The Spartan softball squad finished 2-19 in 2009.

Enjoy your retirement Coach, you've earned it with all the time you've dedicated to the kids of Emporia. I had you as a football coach at Lowther Middle 32yrs ago, I thought you were old then :)
